Exercise types and what students see

Choose a type by the evidence you need from the learner. The type changes both the teacher configuration and the student's response controls.

Step 1. Choose the mechanics

The manual editor offers Single choice, Multiple choice, Input, Essay, and Interview. AI-generated sets may additionally contain Fill in the gaps and Matching. Do not use an objective type when reasoning or spoken performance is the learning goal.

Step 2. Understand objective tasks

Single choice uses radio buttons and accepts one option. Multiple choice uses checkboxes and may require several selections. Input uses a short text field. Fill in the gaps shows one input for each blank. Matching shows a left item and a selector for its pair. These types can be evaluated automatically when correct-answer configuration is complete.

Step 3. Understand essays

The learner writes formatted text and may attach supported images, PDF, DOC/DOCX, XLS/XLSX, PPT/PPTX, TXT, or CSV files. Each attachment must finish uploading before submission. The result remains pending review when human judgment is required; the teacher grades it against the configured point criteria and can use AI review only as assistance.

Step 4. Prepare an interview response

The learner clicks Camera, grants camera/microphone permission, chooses devices, checks the preview and audio meter, then starts recording. If the page or connection is interrupted, the durable session can restore uploaded chunks and continue rather than silently discarding the response.

Step 5. Finish and process the interview

The learner clicks Finish recording. The client uploads remaining chunks, finalizes the media, and displays a playable preview when ready. Do not close the page while it says uploading or processing. Only then submit the assignment.

Step 6. Review open responses

Open Stats, choose the course and learner, and filter pending review. Open the essay or interview, compare it with each criterion, assign points and feedback, and save. The course grade updates from the reviewed score according to the course calculation mode and any course-exam weight.
