How to create a lesson from a video using AI
Upload a video, choose the module and homework options, then monitor and review the generated lesson.

Open this area in SubSchool
The video workflow transcribes a supported file and creates an editable lesson. The source video remains the authority: correct transcription and generated claims before publishing.
Step 1. Open the course
Click Courses and open the course that should receive the lesson.

Step 2. Open Lessons
From the course overview open Lessons.

Step 3. Choose the destination module
Create a module first if needed, then use the Create lesson button on the correct module. The selected module controls where the generated lesson is placed.

Step 4. Choose Video lesson AI
Open the lesson menu and click Video lesson AI.

Step 5. Configure generation
Upload one supported video file. Confirm the module. Enable Generate homework only when you want AI to create an exercise set immediately; choose the displayed volume to control its size. The controls lock after submission until processing finishes, so check the file and module first.

Step 6. Submit and check quick progress
Click Create lesson once. The task continues in the background. Open the task/bell menu in the header from any teacher page. If email notifications are enabled, SubSchool also sends a completion or failure email.

Step 7. Use the full AI task history
Open AI tasks to see queue, transcription, generation progress, timestamps, and errors. Do not upload the same video again while the existing task is still running.

Step 8. Review the generated lesson
Open the result and compare the transcript with the video. Fix names, numbers, terminology, headings, and unsupported conclusions. Check the video player, PDF or article text, and every generated homework answer before saving and previewing the student view.
